Hey Marseilles celebrate their album release at Easy Street & Showbox this week

It’s the Spring Fundraising Drive on KEXP all this week. What a great way to be a part of the celebration of amazing listener powered music and make a donation to power the music that you love. (Make a donation at: 206-903-5397) Right after you do that, there are plenty of good shows to pick from this week as we finish a short February and move on to March. We start with some hip-hop on Monday night at Neumo’s with Rakim, Grynch, Fearce & Beanone, and DJ B-Mello. What a great way to kick off the week! On Tuesday, why not continue the theme  at Neumo’s with Method Man, RA Scion, Leezy, and Serge Severe. At Comet Tavern, Black Beast Revival, Keaton Collective, and Ticktockman perform. If that doesn’t kick enough ass - Widower, The Preservations, and Postcards from the Badlands are at Sunset Tavern, STRFKR and Blackbird Blackbird are at Neptune Theatre, and Indians, Night Beds, and Cat Martino are at Barboza. On Wednesday night, Toro Y Moi, Sinkane, and Dog Bight at Crocodile, Patti Smith is at Neptune Theatre, and Rangda, Master Musicians of Bukkake and MTNS are at Barboza. On Thursday, Hey Marseilles plays at Easy Street Records in West Seattle, and Midday Veil, A Story of Rats, Great Falls, and Hekate are at Chop Suey. On Friday night, we start the weekend with a great mix of shows. Why?, Astronautalis, and Dream Tiger at Neumos, Maserati, Joy Wants Eternity, and The Fruiting Bodies are at Sunset Tavern, Hey Marseilles plays their full blown show with Y La Bamba and Pollens at Showbox at the Market, and Dave Alvin & The Guilty Ones and Marshall Crenshaw are at Tractor Tavern. On Saturday, more fun with BOAT, Aqueduct, and Quiet Ones at Barboza, Pierced Arrows, Birthday Suits, Unnatural Helpers, and Skins at Chop Suey. On Sunday, we have Alabama Shakes, Michael Kiwanuka, and Sam Doores & Riley Downing at Paramount Theatre. Want a rundown of the recommended shows going on this week?
